So we went blueberry picking. It was hot, hot, hot! Thankfully the farm is very close to the house, and when chatting with the owner we found out she lived in a house just down our street before moving to her little farmette!
The berries are delicious and we got about 7 1/2 pounds. I will be processing them in the morning, I am just too tired to do it today and want to enjoy a quiet afternoon. Half the berries will be frozen for pies, tarts, muffins, scones and pancakes, the other half will become jam.
If we get daring, and it isn't as hot, the kid and I may go back out next week in the morning. The only bad thing was that Haven had two little ticks on her pants when we left. No one was bit and the kids stripped down and took showers when we came home, so they are spic and span now too!
